Sturdy die cast aluminum case provides solid support to the 7 inch square Nucerite coated stainless steel top plate. The side of the top plate protects the unit from spill damage.The unit draws 865 watts and brings the top plate temperature to 371C in 8 minutes. A demand-type, thermostatic control responds to any change in surface area temperatures and automatically compensates for ambient temperature or line voltage fluctuations. Surface temperatures are held to within +/-3C. A cycle light is illuminated until temperature setting is reached and then cycles. Solid state speed control gives consistent results in the range of 100-1000 rpm. Desired speed is reached quickly.
