• Pharmacia PhastSystem high speed electrophoresis system consists of a Separation-Control unit for system control and electrophoresis, and a Development Unit for gel staining. Electrophoresis is performed on a thermostatic plate capable of maintaining temperatures accurately from 0 to +70 C. Multi-step programming capability allows gels to be pre run, loaded and run automatically. Controlled parameters include temperature, voltage, current, power, and volt-hours.
• The whole idea behind the Phast System is extreme ease of use and speedy runs.
• The stainless steel development unit is capable of processing two gels simultaneously at temperatures from ambient to +50 C. Up to nine different reagents can be used in a single processing program.
